The Hisbah institution during the Abbasid Caliphate functioned as a quasi-judicial and supervisory body with extensive responsibilities in maintaining security and social justice. From a supervisory standpoint, Hisbah provided an appropriate framework for preserving public order, enhancing security, and mitigating social disorders. This study investigates the role of Hisbah in regulating the social, economic, and security-related behaviors of citizens based on Islamic Sharia during the Abbasid period. The aim of this research is to analyze the impact of Hisbah on public order, security, and the reduction of social irregularities in this historical context. To this end, a library-based research methodology with a descriptive-analytical approach was employed. Findings indicate that during this period, Hisbah played a pivotal role in securing, monitoring, and maintaining social and economic order and security, serving as a foundational mechanism for achieving social justice. Moreover, through oversight of citizens' conduct, this institution contributed to fostering a just and disciplined environment and exerted a profound influence on the social and economic structures of the time.
