Spiritual leaders increase employees' sense of belonging and focus by providing a clear vision and emotional support. This interaction makes employees feel that their job has meaning and purpose and they show greater attachment to their work. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to investigate the relationship between spiritual leadership and employee job engagement, both directly and indirectly through organizational vitality. The present study is applied in terms of purpose and is classified as a descriptive correlational research. The statistical population of the study was 440 employees of Lorestan University, of which a sample of 205 was selected by simple random sampling. To measure the research variables, the spiritual leadership questionnaires of Fry et al. (2005) including 17 items, the job commitment questionnaire of Schoeffley (2015) including 17 items, and the organizational vitality questionnaire of Mousavi et al. (2020) including 7 items were used. The reliability of the questionnaires was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha method. In this study, descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used, and structural equation modeling and smart pls software were used to analyze the research data. The results of the study indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between spiritual leadership and job commitment. The results also showed that spiritual leadership has a positive and significant effect on job commitment through organizational vitality.
