Abstract
Widowhood of women has numerous negative consequences, including reduced financial support, playing the role of father to children, becoming the head of the household, ignoring one's own emotional, physical and sexual needs, and sacrificing for children. The narrowing of social spheres, psychological pressures, and the lack of access of widows to justice and judicial bodies have caused widows to be in a bad human condition, and the grounds for suicide and sexual corruption have increased among them; this reality has faced some Islamic societies with a serious crisis; therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the role of self-confidence and social support in the psychological well-being of this group of women as one of the strategies for confronting their moral crisis in Islamic society. In this study, in addition to the documentary-analytical method that was carried out in moral sources; a descriptive correlational study was conducted using path analysis in regression. The statistical population was female heads of households covered by the welfare of the province of K.B. The findings showed that self-confidence and social support, both in religious sources and in statistical analysis, positively contribute to the psychological well-being of female heads of families; as a result, by strengthening self-confidence and encouraging society to provide social support to female heads of families, psychological well-being can be improved and part of the corruption and suicide crisis in Islamic society can be resolved.
