Discussion of religion and religious knowledge and research on religious knowledge in the opinions of intellectuals such as; Bazargan, Shariati, Soroush, Shabestari; is important because it keeps the sense of truth-seeking, realism and truth-belief alive in humans and causes humans to reflect and examine in order to better understand the truth and to more accurately reflect on it in the field of religion and what is related to religion. The necessity of the need for religion is vital for humans, and understanding religion and religious knowledge is even more vital because, by understanding religion and reflecting on religious knowledge, humans can better understand the truth because in this way, the religious scholar can understand the meanings of the common attributes between humans and God and can also help resolve the conflict between science and religion by utilizing religious knowledge. Religion in general, and the understanding of religious knowledge in the thinking of four religious intellectuals, led to the creation of new issues that today require new answers. Therefore, religion has come as one of the basic needs of humanity to improve human life and in the modern era requires a new reading that has various dimensions of belief, emotion, and psychology. This article seeks to use an analytical-descriptive method while addressing the meaning and concept of religion and religious knowledge and the experiences derived from it. Considering the diversity and variety of readings in recent years and decades, and especially in the intellectual-cognitive space of Iran, we are witnessing a tendency towards interpretive, heuristic, and semantic methods in the field of religious studies. One of the problems and dilemmas of engaging in such studies is having a non-critical, yet imitative, and sometimes political view of these topics. This is seen in the opinions of modern thinkers such as Shariati and Bazargan.
