The present era should be called an era of confusion among various and sometimes contradictory proposals regarding various methods and approaches to moral education and training, because on the one hand, traditional approaches, both secular and religious, have been criticized and, after enduring labels such as being suggestive, ignoring the findings of psychologists in moral development, being authoritarian, being dogmatic, relying on the authority of the educator instead of emphasizing the autonomy of the moral agent and ignoring freedom of thought, have been abandoned by educators and educational and ethical researchers. A study of Allameh Tabataba'i's theory of credentials shows that this theory pays attention to various dimensions of behaviors, values, obligations, and moral motivations, and therefore can be a suitable theoretical basis for organizing the principles and strategies of moral education. Accordingly, in the present study, Allameh Tabataba'i's theory of validity has been examined as a required theoretical basis for presenting and explaining the strategies and principles of moral education. An attempt has been made to align the moral education strategies that Allameh Tabataba'i explained in Tafsir al-Mizan with this theory. Finally, by extracting the principles of moral education from Allameh's theory of validity, how to operationalize the aforementioned moral strategies in a manner consistent with the theory of validity has been explained.
