Dr. Ali Asghar Pourezat graduated with a PhD in Public Policy from Tarbiat Modares University in 2003. He is the dean and founder of the Faculty of Governance at the University of Tehran. He is also the founder of the Policy and Governance Laboratory at the University of Tehran and one of the founders of the Futures Studies program at the University of Tehran. He was an assistant professor from 2003 to 2008, an associate professor from 2008 to 2013, and a full professor at the Faculty of Management at the University of Tehran since 2013. Dr. Pourezat is the author of more than 400 scientific and conference papers and the author of more than 40 books. His teaching and research interests include public policy, public administration, governance, futures studies, and social justice, especially with Islamic and ethical approaches. Professor Pourezat is a distinguished professor of public administration and governance, winner of the Farabi International Prize in Iran in 2007 and 2012, winner of the Dehkhoda Award in 2018, cultural leader of the University of Tehran in 2013, and also the top researcher of the University of Tehran in 2013. He is currently the editor-in-chief of the Iranian Journal of Public Administration Studies and continues to study various fields of governance
