Abstract
Objective: In the post‑COVID era, urban nightlife has gained increasing attention as a platform for redefining social relations, improving quality of life, and strengthening the cultural economy. This study aims to examine the role of cultural nightlife and creative industries in the reconfiguration of urban spaces and to analyze citizens attitudes toward nighttime cultural policymaking in the Bu‑Ali Pedestrian Street area of Hamedan.
Method: This study is applied in purpose and adopts an analytical exploratory approach. Data were collected through a researcher‑developed questionnaire from 350 nighttime users of the space and were analyzed using hierarchical cluster analysis and non‑parametric tests in SPSS and Jamovi software.
Results: The results indicate that respondents can be classified into five distinct attitudinal clusters regarding different dimensions of nightlife. Significant differences were observed among the clusters across all components. Clusters with more positive attitudes reported higher levels of perceived safety, spatial vitality, cultural participation, and place attachment.
Conclusion: The findings suggest that in the post‑COVID context, cultural nightlife can function as an effective tool for the revitalization of public spaces, the reconstruction of social ties, and the enhancement of cultural resilience. Therefore, the reconfiguration of urban spaces should be reconsidered through participatory, creative, and data‑driven approaches within the framework of nighttime cultural policymaking.
