In addition, given that research methods are grounded in paradigmatic assumptions, the study also sought to explicate the methodological implications of these foundational assumptions for research methodology.Method: This study employed a generative abstraction method based on a descriptive-comparative ontological approach. Within this framework, the fundamental questions to which every paradigm must respond were raised and examined. These included the nature of reality, the nature of knowledge, views on causality, the rationale and purpose of research, the nature of method, the nature of the human being, the criteria for valid explanation, the status of credible evidence, as well as each metatheory’s perspective on common belief and axiology.Results: The findings revealed that each metatheory provides distinct answers to fundamental paradigmatic questions, and that these differences shape the methodological orientation of research. Furthermore, a comparison of the generative metatheory with positivist, interpretive, and critical metatheories brought to light both the similarities and the differences among them.Conclusion: Given that metatheoretical assumptions guide the researcher’s scholarly activities, shape the application of research methods, and influence both the process of identifying the real world and the outcomes of research, the paradigmatic assumptions of the generative metatheory grounded in a monotheistic worldview and the perspectives of Islamic philosopherscan be regarded as a useful approach for engaging with different levels of scientific discourse. هدف: بررسی مؤلفه‌های پارادایمی فرانظریه تکوینی در مقایسه با فرانظریه‌های اثباتی، تفسیری و انتقادی، به‌منظور شناسایی وجوه تمایز و تشابه آن‌ها با یکدیگر. همچنین، با توجه به استوار بودن روش‌های پژوهش بر مفروضه‌های پارادایمی، تبیین تلویحات این مبانی برای روش‌شناسی پژوهش نیز مدنظر بوده است.روش پژوهش: روش این مطالعه، روش تجریدی تکوینی از نوع هستار‌انگاری توصیفی ـ تطبیقی بوده است. در این چارچوب، پرسش‌های اساسی‌ که هر پارادایم باید به آن‌ها پاسخ دهد، از جمله چیستی واقعیت، چیستی معرفت، دیدگاه نسبت به علیت، چرایی و هدف پژوهش، چیستی روش، کیستی انسان، ملاک‌های تبیین صحیح، شواهد معتبر، و نیز دیدگاه نسبت به باور عامه و ارزش‌شناسی، مطرح و بررسی شده‌اند.یافته‌ها: یافته‌های مطالعه نشان داد که هر یک از فرانظریه‌ها به پرسش‌های بنیادین پارادایمی پاسخ‌های متفاوتی می‌دهند و این تفاوت‌ها، جهت‌گیری روش‌شناختی پژوهش را شکل می‌دهد. همچنین، مقایسه فرانظریه تکوینی با فرانظریه‌های اثباتی، تفسیری و انتقادی، وجوه تشابه و تمایز میان آن‌ها را آشکار ساخت.نتیجه‌گیری: با توجه به اینکه مفروضه‌های فرانظریه‌ای، فعالیت‌های پژوهشی محقق، نحوه به‌کارگیری روش‌های پژوهش، چگونگی شناسایی جهان واقع و برون‌دادهای پژوهش را جهت می‌دهند، مفروضه‌های پارادایمی فرانظریه تکوینی، مبتنی بر جهان‌بینی توحیدی و دیدگاه فلاسفه اسلامی، می‌تواند به‌عنوان رهیافتی سودمند برای ورود به سطوح مختلف گفتمان علمی مورد توجه قرار گیرد.
